Educational Visits
Athens Guitarmaking School opens its doors to schools and conservatories! Students, parents and teachers experience the magic of instrument making up close — they see, hear and learn how a guitar is born, from the wood to the first notes. A creative, interactive experience that combines music, art and inspiration!
A unique experience of music, creation and inspiration!
Athens Guitarmaking School welcomes schools, conservatories as well as adults, providing an experience for anyone interested in music or making musical instruments. Students, parents, teachers and adult music lovers have the opportunity to experience first-hand how a guitar is born, in a warm and creative environment that inspires imagination and collaboration.
The educational visit is adapted for all ages – from primary school children to adults – with a different way of presentation depending on the level and interests of the group.
During the tour:
Participants watch the entire process of making a guitar, from choosing the wood and shaping the board to setting the strings and playing it for the first time. They learn about wood types, acoustics and the role of each part of the instrument in its sound and aesthetics.
They watch live demonstrations by expert instrument makers and have the opportunity to touch materials, see tools in action and ask questions. Through discussion and interaction, they discover the relationship between music and art, physics, geometry and creativity.
At the end of the visit, participants enjoy a treat, while there is time for discussion, questions and sharing experiences with the instrument maker and instructors.
This activity is an ideal combination of knowledge, art and experience, offering children, young people and adults a special contact with the world of music and instrument making — beyond theory and stage, into the heart of creation.

About us
Athens Guitarmaking School is a modern workshop and educational space dedicated to the art of instrument making.
It offers specialized guitar making lessons (classical, acoustic, electric, folk) for beginners and advanced, with an emphasis on experiential learning, quality, and respect for the tradition of handmade creation.
Our goal is for each student to leave not only with an instrument, but with knowledge, experience, and inspiration.
